Moderation is key: Jaundice occurs when liver/gallbladder area gets inflamed. This can be caused by many things including virus which you state as this the cause of yours. This is usually self limited (improves on its own) and there is no need to permanently stop drinking. Alcohol should be drank in moderation- 1-2 drinks per night. There are some health benefits to moderate alcohol use. Resume slowly.
