Likely: Having irregular bleeding and pelvic discomfort are nor uncommon after insertion of Mirena (levonorgestrel). However, if the cramping is severe, you have any fevers, or aren't feeling well, infection could certainly be a concern. Understand that irregular bleeding can occur for 3-6 months after Mirena (levonorgestrel) insertion. Try Aleve or Motrin and a heating pad. If you still have pain, see your doctor.
