Ultrasound: You should be able to see the baby. The ultrasound screen is usually right next to the bed. However, a vaginal ultrasound is used to look at early pregnancies and if less than 6 weeks you may only see early pregnancy signs.

Ultrasound: An early ultrasound in pregnancy allows for evaluation of your tubes, ovaries as well as your uterus and it's contents. It also allows for more accurate dating of the pregnancy. They will do measurements appropriate for the number of weeks you are,ex, 11-14weeks they will measure the fold at the back of the neck called the unchallenged fold. Certainly, they will allow you to see if you want to see

Of Course: Depending on how far along you are will dictate what you will see. If you are only a few weeks along, you may only see what's called a "yolk sac" At 6-8 weeks, you will usually see a heartbeat in your tiny baby. Seeing more in the way of anatomy, etc, would be done around 18-20 weeks.
