Likely normal: A rise in heart rate can be caused by many things and is usually short-lived. If you have no symptoms and the heart rate returns to normal promptly, this is usually a normal response to some stimulus, internal and/or external. If you note long periods of rapid heart beat or symptoms with these changes, see your doctor soon!
