A: Hepatitis A is the only type and that will be caused by eating raw oysters. Hepatitis A is self limited and treatment is directed towards symptom control.

Hepatitis A YES: Yes, you can catch Hep A from contaminated, raw shellfish. If you must eat raw oysters, try to do so in moderation - and pick a reputable source for your Oyster supply.
