Kidney stone: For kidney stone 10 mm in left ureter you would drink fluids and strain urine to see if stone passes. You would see a urologist. A CT scan without contrast was probably used to detect the stone.

Kidney stone?: I suspect this may be kidney stone rather than a gallstone. This could be a uric acid stone. But your symptoms do not act like kidney stones but more like gallstones. Ask your physicians to guide you through this and help clarify your questions.

Stones are painful: You likely have a uric acid kidney stone that could be very painful. It is very large and unlikely that you will be able to pass it on your own. You will need help from a urologist who can remove it or break it up so that you can pass it. Uric acid stones can be dissolved by taking sodium bicarbonate or potassium citrate.
