Healthy: Limited amounts of water are fine. If you live in a warm climate the baby will require more water to remain hydrated. It also may help to relieve constipation. Water should not be given to replace formula because the baby will miss calories and electrolytes. Generally 2-4 oz of water a day would be good place to start.
