Sleep walking: Sleep walking in children usually gets better and may subside as children mature. It is important to keep them safe during these episodes. The area should be secured and all doors locked so they can't wander out of the house or fall from windows are stairs. Check the surroundings to keep them safe if they sleep walk.

Sleepwalking: Most sleepwalking in children happens in 4-8 year olds. Occasionally, it will persist into adulthood. There may be a family history of sleepwalking. It can be associated with illness such as asthma,gastro esophageal reflux, arythmias, sleep apnea, or stress or sleep deprivation. It is best to have consistent sleep schedules, same time to bed, same time to wake. Best to consult a pediatrician.
