Herpes the virus: Herpes is a virus that can be transmitted from on warm moist place to another. Herpes simplex one(HS1) used to be known as a "cold sore", and HS2 was considered a STD due to its' genital location. Well, Type I ends up in type II places and vice versa these days, so we don't make as much a distinction. You probably just have HS antibodies in your blood which are common and picked up by the test.

Cold sore type: Herpes Simplex Virus type I, the non-STI type, is the herpes virus that causes cold sores that people often get on the lips. It should not cause any problems with employment. HSV 2 is the sexually transmitted type of herpes.

I tested positive for HSV2 IGG, none for IGM. I never had any symptoms, i just do a yearly STD check, and noticed i was never tested for herpes specifically. i did it this year, and positive for it. My doc said i dont need anti virals. agree?
Have genital herpes. Its my 1st yr & Ive had 2 other outbreaks. On birth control (Alesse) for 10 years no other STDs/ STIs before. Already had Gardasil 4 & now Gardasil 9. I tear every time I have sex. Is this another outbreak? Do I continue meds?
Doc. Told me test came back 20% out of 80% positive for herpes 1 . But I haven't ever had a cold sore , how am I positive ?
Physicals done by 4 ER docs for chest pain in last 4 mths & they all say anxiety- EKGs, Chest Xrays, Ultrasound of heart & gallbladder, lots of bloodwork on heart & blood clots each visit. Normal results every time, most recent visit 3 wks ago.
