I was told by a doctor that i managed to loosen a ligament and its pushing my rib making it protrude any idea how a doctor would fix that?

Time will heal: Most of the time a loosening of the junction between a rib and the cartilage heals on its own over time. Surgery or other procedures are usually not required. Take acetaminophen or ibuprofen for discomfort. Using heat locally can also help.

Wrap: Some doctors can manipulate this back into place. Others like me would probably provide a rib belt aka fancy ace wrap and have you follow up in 1-2 weeks . Good luck.
