Stool analysis: Mesenteric lymphadenitis is usually caused by a gastroenteritis, including bacterial and viral. If not already done, I would recommend stool cultures, including Yersinia, stool parasites, and stool test for blood. If symptoms do not resolve promptly, consider a GI specialist.
