Your TMJ is slipping: Your temporal mandibular joint is slipping a bit and catching. TMJ popping is not uncommon. Be aware that making it pop is not a good thing to do. Pain can result eventually - TMJ syndrome.

Dislocation: Either your lower jaw is dislocating, or more probable the cartelagenous disc between the upper and lower halves of the jaw joint is popping in and out of position. See your Dentist.
