No, but ? helpful: Holding your breath is actually a trigger to feeling short of breath (SOB); seeing how long you can do it does not really give you any information about the cause of (SOB). However, holding your breath does, obviously, reduce your respiratory rate of breathing which rises significantly in anxiety. Take slow, deep breaths from your stomach and think about something else: not breathing. Walk.
