Get testing: Puffy eyes in a child is sometimes allergic but sometimes not. If the allergy medication is failing, I would revisit your child's doctor and get tested for other conditions. Kidney disease, for example, can cause puffy eyes in kids, without redness or itching. Hope this helps.
