Unsure of Symptom: Monica, I am having some difficulty understanding your question. Do you mean you sat up in bed and pointed at the ceiling? Many strange sleep symptoms can occur in the context of sleep deprivation, which can cause waking hallucinations (essentially dreams while you are awake). Less likely would be a disease such as narcolepsy. Consider discussing with your primary doctor or going to a sleep MD

Cannot say without: an examination. BUT sleepwalking behavior is quite common. Can be increased by medications that affect mood/behavior/drowsiness. http://sleepfoundation.org/sleep-disorders-problems/abnormal-sleep-behaviors/sleepwalking
