They are different: These two medications are metabolized in the body by different organ systems, so they will not interfere with each other or be dangerous to take simulataneously. Taking them together may boost the pain relieving qualities of the Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen). Ibuprofen, especially at high doses, should be taken no sooner than 8 hours apart.

Fibromyalgia?: Sorry you're suffering. I noticed that you list fibromyalgia (FM) among your conditions. Opioids are not a good long-term answer for FM. Find a good specialist who can treat FM and gradually get you off Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) and NSAIDs. There are better ways to treat FM. Look at the checklist on living with FM. In answer to your question: there is no need to space Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) and ibuprofen. Both can be taken together.
