May be muscle tear: Your history suggests an injury to the calf and would suspect Tear of the medial head of the gastrocnemius or soleus strain but it could be a different injury. Possible tear: It sounds as though you might have torn, partially or fully, a tendon or muscle belly in the calf. You need to consult with an orthopedist if the pain persists , as tendon tears sometimes occur and must be re sewn together within a specified period of time to be successful.
