To ER: Other than cardiac disease which will worsen with exertion and also cause shortness of breath, it could be radicular pain from a cervical level. If you haven't been evaluated by a physician, you should be seen ASAP. Sharp chest pain isn't typical for cardiac disease, but women have atypical symptoms. Even young people can have heart disease. Why take a chance?
