Yes: ? can fibromyalgia (FM) cause pain back skull. This is site where superior trapezium (ST) muscles attach to inion of skull. Chronic ST muscle spasm is common in FM, and often more prominent on one side due to chronic head tilt, which leads to spastic hypertrophic ST on pained side and relative ST atrophy on side toward which head is habitually tilted; a "crossed muscle syndrome" (after V. Janda).
