about a week prior to my cycle i start having headaches that get progressively worse until cycle. base of skull and back are affected.cause?

Hormonal: If headaches occur with every cycle in the same way then they are more than likely caused by hormonal fluctuations which are a normal part of the cycle. There are many options available to treat this some, as easy as taking over the counter headache medications, and sometimes involving hormones or other meds.

After breastfeeding: Some women get their period back within a few months, some women don't get it for almost a year or more. If you are still breastfeeding you will likely not get your period until you stop or until you are feeding less frequently than every 5 hours or so, usually once your baby starts sleeping through the night.
A 38-year-old member asked:

Is it normal to feel guilty about going back to work?

Of course: Feelings of guilt when returning to work after having a baby are very normal. But, remember that having a life outside of parenthood does not make you a bad parent. You need to find your own balance. (make sure to avoid people who try to make you feel more guilty - they are not helpful.).

Although I agree with Dr. Harris this is not a simple question. It depends on how soon after giving birth. Are you having other symptoms such as depression, crying spells, mood swings, weight changes, difficulty with breast feeding or other new or unusual symptoms. If this is the case you should discuss it further with with your Gyn or PCP.

Educating sister: Generally, the development of breast buds is the first stage of pubertal changes in a young girl. Any time after that starts is a good time to start talking about the other changes that go with it including periods.
A 31-year-old member asked:

If I shave my babys lanugo, will it grow back even faster?

Dr. Jerry Casale

Don't do it: Shaving hair, any kind does not make it grow back faster, this is indeed an old wives tale. But please do not touch the lanugo it will go away and would be afraid of any potential harm to shaving a baby.U only have lanugo once. Embrace it.
