Many: The complications include any that can occur with surgery, particularly bleeding or infection. Most people receiving this procedure are non compliant and are at risk for perforating their stomach and severe infection. All efforts should be made to loose weight naturally with diet change and exercise and stress control. All the best.

Depends. : Short term complication rates are very low. The most common being bleeding or wound infection. Long-term complications however are more common. The major complications are a slip or an erosion. Both requiring reoperation.
