I currently take arthrotec (diclofenac and misoprostol) now and i am still in pain especially in my low back and hands. is there another non-narcotic medication i can ask dr about?

Tylenol (acetaminophen): You may need a different NSAID if your having trouble taking Arthrotec, such as Mobic or Naprosyn, OR add tylenol (acetaminophen).

Limited options: Besides the addition of something like Tylenol (acetaminophen) there isn't much out there, as "stacked" nonsteroidals start to have significant adverse effects. If you are interested in alternative options, there is some evolving data about tart charries and anti-inflammatory effect - the data is real but very nascent. Glucosamine(+/- chrondroiton) have even less data, but are also rather benign.
