Torsion: Yes, Get checked. Although the swelling and pain could be something else it is important to get torsion corrected sooner than later. Hours do make a difference with this problem.

Emergency: Hi, please go to ER ASAP, even if there is a slight chance of torsion by waiting you decrease the chance of salvation.
