A member asked:

I have a tight feeling behind my knee (posterior leg) after i sit down for a period of time and then stand up. what might be causing this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Baker's cyst?: A Baker's or popliteal cyst is a herniation of fluid from the knee into the area behind the knee, usually due to some acute strain upon the knee with increased fluid therein. A Doppler of the leg would confirm the cyst and hopefully negate any blood clot, which is unlikely with your description.
