No: White tongue is not always oral thrush. If your tongue does not hurt or bleed when the white coating is scraped away with something blunt like a tongue depressor it is not likely to be thrush. I suggest brushing your tongue with a toothbrush and rinsing with a good quality mouthwash and seeing if that helps. It may be just bacterial overgrowth. You could also take a probiotic.

Tounge: Although thrush is a common reason for a white tongue there are other conditions that can cause this. I would have a dentist see this if it does not resolve
