Iron might help: If you mean hemoglobin then it depends on the cause - why is it low? Blood loss, blood destruction and decreased blood cell production are the three causes of low hemoglobin. Talk to your doctor about what the cause is for you. Taking iron supplements helps if the cause is blood loss such as from gastritis or GI bleeding.

Depends: It all depends on the cause for your low blood cell counts and the type of blood cells. Some conditions will affect all cell lines, specifically chronic liver disease or blood disorders and the treatment is directed towards the cause. Meds can cause also low blood cell counts and the treatment will be discontinuing the offending drugs.
