A member asked:

Could it hurt to get a blood test?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A little: Blood test involves inserting a needle into a vein to get blood and there is a little pain from the needle stick. It is usually temporary. In about 1% of cases a bruise may form at the site of the puncture. The risk can be minimized by keeping pressure on the puncture site for a few minutes.
