Exercise: Aerobic exercise such as running, walking, biking or swimming when done for at least 20 minutes in a row for at least three times per week can lessen your risk of heart disease. These are the classic types of exercises, but almost any exercise when done for a period of time repeatedly can lower your risk of heart disease.

Aerobic: Under supervision by your md, aerobic exercise will help recruit smaller arteries that feed your heart muscles and can develop natural bypasses around narrowed coronary arteries.
