A member asked:

Could meal of burgers and coke cause significant elevated phosphorus and slight low calcium levels 5-6 hours after meal? 3mnts ago both were fine.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Stop worrying. Burgers and coke won't ruin your health despite all the talk about "unhealthy eating". The high phosphate might be from mild specimen hemolysis while a slightly low calcium is usually a non-problem. Reference ranges are set so that several percent of healthy folks fall outside in any case. Best wishes.
