A member asked:

How long does the body take to adjust to clonazepam? switched from xanax (alprazolam) a week ago and having muscle aches, headache, and brain fog, and mild depress

You and the dose: It is a long acting medication. The result of that is that it takes several days t reach its maximum. During this time you will feel more and more of an effect. Your doctor will increase the dose or not depending on how you react to it. It is not an antidepressant so mention all of your symptomsto your doctor

Usually 1 week: However, switches may not have been accurate for dose equivalence. I go by 1 mg xanax= 1.25 mg clonazepam
