Stress fracture: A hip stress fracture can evolve into a worse fracture from walking and other activity. The hip bears a lot of weight per square inch, and a stress fracture requires resting. I advise you walk only minimally as necessary and get advice from a PT.

No: Mr. Stein. I feel bad for the problem. A stress fracture is still a fracture and must be seen by an orthopedist. If you walk on it you may make it worse
