See your doctor: There are many causes for bleeding to last longer than typical. Some are related to an undiagnosed pregnancy, and some are related to a temporary hormone imbalance. Certain medications may also cause this problem. In younger patients, it usually is not serious, but in any case, you should be evaluated to find the underlying cause.
