Many possibilities.: The most common causes are usually self-limiting which means it will go away on it's own. A BRAT diet can reduce intensity (Banana, Rice, Apple, Toast) and avoiding caffeine, alcohol and dairy until this passes is also advised. Keep well hydrated with healthy fluids that are low in sugar. If this persists for more than 2-3 weeks or worsens in less time, seek medical evaluation.
