Culture/New Abx: Sounds like it is becoming a chronic sinus infection. Those are sometimes mixed bacterial and fungal, too. Some sinusitis cases take 5-6 weeks of antibiotics to clear up. It might be resistant to the anitbiotic you are taking. An ENT can culture the sinus and prescribe appropriate treatment from there. Sterile saline drops/spray/ rinses of the nasal passages can help.

R&R: There are no antibiotics for viral sinus infections, and typically supportive care is best. You may have to ride it out for a week or so. Get plenty of rest and fluids, at least 8 hours of sleep each night (not averaged between a few days).

Sinusitis: There may several issues brewing with any sinusitis, particularly in chronic cases. Besides a possible underlying infection, there could be a significant inflammatory component that persists even after an infectious has "resolved". In this case you can have significant residual sinus inflammation, congestion and secretions which may require topical or systemic anti-inflammatories(aka steroids).
