Stay in motion: Alternate your intense work outs with lighter ones to keep the muscles loose and prevent spasm. Good hydration and proper spacing of intense workouts will improve your recovery.

Probably not: The pain you are experiencing is overuse of the muscles and build up of lactic acid. Other than the discomfort, in an otherwise healthy individual, there should be no other problems. Do drink plenty of fluids, water or gatorade type replacement drinks, to help flush out the lactic acid. One could always work alternative muscle groups to give the fatigued muscles a chance to heal. Good luck.
