My 6 month old daughter has a throat virus that includes nausea and vomiting is this contagious?

Yes: If child has low grade fever, vomiting and diarrhea then chances are she has viral GE and this is contagious. If pt has not fever and no diarrhea, and only has vomiting, then need to monitor as this might not be viral gastroenteritis and may be more significant issue.

Very much so!: These viruses can be passed through the saliva and stool. Be careful to wash your hands if you come into contact with either. Try to feed her as normal, but do not force her to take the usual amount. You can switch to pedialyte if she cannot take breast milk or formula. Water is also okay. Keep an eye on her diapers to make sure that she doesn't become dehydrated. Target 4-6 wet diapers per day.
