Not related: Free fluid in the cul-de-sac does not relate to what is going on in the uterus. See your doctor for a lab pregnancy test if things remain unclear after your ultrasound.

Further Info Needed: Fluid in the cul-de-sac is a normal physiologic occurrence in most premenopausal women, and is often affected by where a woman is in her cycle. The cul-de-sac is located behind the uterus. A pregnancy (normal) is located within the uterus. However, fluid in the cul-de sac could indicate a possible ectopic pregnancy. When was your last menstrual period? Are you having any pain or bleeding?
