Ask your provider: each person heals differently and depends on calcium and an array of other factors The important thing is to follow the instructions closely and let it heal completely because too soon just to get back to football at your age can led to a permanent problem and chronic arthritic pain Be patient and take care of your finger

Finger surgery: It may take several weeks for healing to be complete after surgery. You may be placed in a splint or other support. Avoid contact sports until your orthopedic doctor clears you for full contact.
