No, not really: Diet pills decrease appetite a bit (they are related to stimulants). Other pills block fat digestion. One's desire to eat can be much stronger that a diet pill's power to decrease his appetite, so he will likely continue to eat too many calories. Also, diet pills don't increase one's desire to exercise. If something as simple as a diet pill was effective, we would not have so much obesity today.

Many that work: There are many that work but these should not be taken without the supervision of a physician as some may cause metabolic abnormalities that could have very serious consequences. Without knowing more about your height, weight, eating habits, it would not be advised to begin this kind of treatment.
