Sounds like anxiety.: You identified already in your question that you are obsessing over the possibility of damage to the jugular vein. Trust, me, trauma to the jugular vein is not usually subtle. If you have lots of bleeding, swelling, pain, discoloration in the area, If your Adam's Apple appears pushed to one side, or if your breathing is affected call 911.
