Should check it out: This does not sound normal. Although u r a bit on the young side, the superior vena cava syndrome--blockage of the large vein that returns blood to the heart. Thus obstruction of the vein results in swelling of the head/neck/face/chest etc...Of course starting out as distended veins, headache, shortness of breath, arm swelling etc... If this does not get better tomorrow, consult doc. Good luck.

Neck Veins..: The prominence of veins through the skin is affected by many factors including levels of hydration and dehydration, body temperature as well as outside temperature, medications and even levels of stress. Fair skinned people tend to have more easily visible veins than darker individuals and hereditary plays a strong role also. Neck pain and headaches may not be related to the veins. See your PMD.
