Oh this is: intriguing. Lots of kids have imaginary friends but they usually grow out of it. What does your "friend" do for you? Why do you keep him around? If he doesn't bother you, why and how does he make you fee bad? What do you mean by "unsafe.? I think this requires more answers and a little history taking, pronto. Go to a psychologist and pose these questions.

Seek medical care: If you are 18 years of age and have an imaginary friend that only you can see or hear and do not feel comfortable about this you know you should seek medical care with a Dr. It would be important for the doctor to be made aware of all current medications taken in addition to other non prescription substances. If you do not feel safe you need to seek immediate medical attention in an ER/hospital.
