Get your TMJ checked: Either biomechanical factors or toxins, pathogens, allergens in the TM joints can cause tinnitus, as well as infection in the ear. Get checked.

Maybe: Long term use of medicines like clonazepam can lead to ringing in the ears as patients try to wean off of them. For most patients is goes away with time (1-2 mo in most cases) although for some (unfortunately) it never completely goes away but they are able to live with it.
