Doctor: The only way to distinguish btw different types yeast is to get a yeast culture from your doctor. Having said that, OTC anit-fungals are going to treat most yeast. Sometimes women have strains of candida that need to be treated with pills, such as Diflucan (fluconazole). Your home remedies are great, but may not get rid of yeast. If I were you I would try some OTC anti-fungals for the vagina. 5 or 7 day best
