A member asked:

Is it ok to take seroquel (quetiapine) while pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes and no: Use of any medication during pregnancy is murky. If not life sustaining, it is best to avoid any medication during the first three months. For the 2nd and 3rd three months it is a risk benefit decision. Seroquel (quetiapine) as a mood stabilizer or anti psychotic may be worth the risk to avoid mania or a psychotic break. As an augmenting drug in depression i believe is not as there are safer alternatives.
