Several possibilitie: there are several possibilities. If the pain is related to either the TM joint , or the temporalis muscle, or the ear, rule out both biomechanical factors related to the TM joint function and rule out infection associated with the TM joint. Other issues that can cause head pain can be toxin, pathogen, allergen, or more serious neurologic factors intracranially.
