Uncertain: Generally, clots that lodge in cerebral and retinal (back of eye) vessels do break up or "recanalize", as we say. This may be less true of pucholesterol crystal clots. More importantly, the part of the retina that the blood vessel feeds may have been deprived of blood flow for too long and may not recover even if blood flow is restored. The medicine you are taking is to prevent further emboli.
