Irregular periods: It does not sound like your menstrual cycle is currently coming at regular intervals. It would be difficult to determine when you are ovulating, which is the best time to try to get pregnant.

After college: The best time to make a baby is when you are your partner have finished college and have had some life adventures and are stable enough to be able to provide for all of the needs of a new baby. Remember we give the gift of ourselves to our babies. If we have no education or stories or life experience then what are we giving them?
