No: This would not be considered normal at any age.It is not scary high, but deserves verification with serial blood pressures taken over several days. There is a common form of transient known as "White coat" hypertension that occurs when someone is anxious about the process in the clinic. Repeated measurements over several days will usually see this disappear.
