Loose Stools are a: potential problem after gallbladder removal. Many people do not notice any change. A small number of people may notice loose stools after surgery . The duration is variable. You may need to take a medication like Questran (cholestyramine) which helps to bind the bile which gets released a little more often after gallbladder surgery. See your surgeon who did your surgery to determine if you need this medication.
